I have to say that Toledo Waite is a great program. Let's see, what makes a great program? Winning is usually the first thing people say, and it is important, but if you win alot and nobody goes to school afterward, how good is the program? It means you have a good basketball system, but post-high school should mean something. Here are my criteria. Developing players before they get to the high school is a must. Continuing their development when they get there is a priority. Having a winning record and doing well in conference play should be a staple. And getting players into college should be a standard. Toledo Waite is doing all of that! And Shareese "Boom" Ulis is the best player in NW Ohio. Carlie Roethlisberger and Amber Heistan are just behind her. Boom can take over a game. She was first team all-state last year as a junior, and Toledo player of the year as a sophomore. I expect big things this year, like maybe Mrs. Basketball if the team can do well enough to get some exposure to central Ohio. You better check them out.
